Over the allotment at 7.30 this morning. It was packed - never seen so many plot holders in one go. Managed to dig a few beds over and plant out some Butternut squash, cucumber, black tomato and Kholrabi. Left at 9.30 - too bloody hot again.

My Bulgarian plot neighbour was trying out his new 2 Stroke rotavator in his new polytunnel. The noise! And it’s a wonder he didn’t gas himself. "Maybe I put a bit too much oil in it, eh?".
