Afaik corvettes are now on the C8 which is the first cirvette to have an engine in the back / rear

Corvette models generally have A 10 year run ???

By 1980 the engines got strangled with emissions and all that caper which hit the power / performance

In 1980 that car could not legally be sold in California !!! They had a specific engine 5 litre for them the 400 plus BHP big blocks for the corvettes were no longer an option
