The motherboard doesn't support UEFI Secure Boot either which is also a requirement.
There is no way any of that can be used with Windows 11.
Can i add hardware so i can upgrade to windows 11?

Linux?
It's like Windows, but you have to program it yourself.
My son will be doing a coding corse with software acadmey starting september. Will he be able to do it on linux?
That's a tad unfair.The likes of Ubuntu are user friendly. You can install free software such as Thunderbird (for email) and GIMP (for image creation). Personally, I prefer the likes of Adobe and MS Office, but they are not free and not compatible with any of the Linux variants.

Linux used to be alien to windows users butt now Linux Mint and others are very much good for long time windows users like me.
I tried it on my laptop and it seems fine.
Yes there are some windows programs that do not run on it but it can emulate windows for most.
It is however far far less of a resource hog like Windows is, it's much much faster on older machines
It does not require the security chip MS has decided we must have.
After making backups of essential stuff IMO it's worth trying out on the old PC just to see if you like it, if you don't then get the new PC that's needed for W11 so there is nothing to lose.

I've 'upgraded' (in my opinion it's actually a downgrade!) 5 not compatible PCs easily. If you do a google search for 'install windows 11 with rufus' you'll find all the info you need to install the spyware known as Windows 11. Once Win11 is installed get to the settings and turn of all the things that you don't need, all the tracking that they have added and make sure it's set to save to the hard drive and not the cloud which is the default. All the PCs I've installed 11 onto receive and install the updates without problem.

AHH, life was good with windows 7, why did they have to muck around with it?
It takes me twice as long to do anything on W11 than on 7. I'm sure there's lots of useful stuff going on in the background but it's just unintuitive.
