The bond yield is stupidly high right now, way above the levels of the very brief Truss spike. We're borrowing to pay the interest on our previous borrowing. Taxes are at record highs, the one and only way out is massive cuts to public spending but there's absolutely no way that Burnham or Labour are capable of giving the country the medicine it needs.
It will be interesting to see the bond market reaction to Andy (and Ed?)'s first budget. It will probably make the reaction to Truss look like a minor hiccup.
Bankruptcy here we come. All perfectly normal traditional Labour party stuff. It's what they do.
