US and Israel attack on Iran. What was the point?

Then the next President will take over, this isn't a new thing.

Since 1995, five presidents and multiple vice presidents and presidential candidates had promised to end Iran’s nuclear program by any means necessary.

“Iran’s appetite for acquiring and developing nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver them has only grown larger,” Bill Clinton claimed in 1995. “We have tried to stop its quest to acquire weapons of mass destruction, which would make it a threat not only to its neighbors but to the entire region and the world.”

“For the sake of peace, the world must not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon,” George W. Bush declared.

“America is determined to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, and I will take no options off the table to achieve that goal,” Barack Obama promised.

“Here is my message to Iran’s leaders, the United States will never allow you to acquire a nuclear weapon. As president, I will take whatever action is necessary to protect the United States and our allies,” Hillary Clinton assured.

“We will not let Iran acquire a nuclear weapon. Period. Period. End of discussion. It will not happen on our watch,” Joe Biden assured.

“Let me be clear, we will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon. Period,” Kamala Harris said.

Nearly every serious contender for the White House had promised to take out Iran’s nuclear arsenal, so why the outrage at that old promise actually being fulfilled?

Much like moving the embassy to Jerusalem, many politicians of both parties promised to do it without either meaning or it being determined enough to do it.

Their outrage then as now is performative and hypocritical.
Only two have failed to see the futility of bombing Iran: Reagan and Trump.
Only one has started that round of unprovoked bombing: Trump.

Then the next President...
....hopefully won't be a man-baby with a fragile ego, low IQ that starts pointless wars no other country is interested in.

Scrounging, hopeless waste of breath, Jared will be gone by then too.

The Iranians, despite the ceasefire launched rockets at tankers. They have no intention of doing a deal in any way shape or form.

This isn't about the US and Iran, it's about the future of the Middle East.

Do we leave it to be controlled by Iran, Russia and China, or do we shift the balance of power to Israel, the Gulf States and America.
I'm keeping a close eye on Turkey, Trump hasn't promised them a bunch of F35's for nothing.
Turkey has been on the top of my "no holiday list" for years alongside Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco,

Not surprised with 20 skiing trips to cram in.

South West Turkey (Turkish riviera) is not too dissimilar to Greece (food, beaches, weather).

North Africa on the other hand, is largely a shí thole.

Nigel doesn't let you anymore

Except Greece is lacking in potential Islamic terrorist attacks on western holiday resorts

And the rest of Africa so why would you want to welcome them breaking into this country.

Bloody Brexit! Trim it down and take a couple of ski trips like me. It's much more manageable.

Irrelevant, misguided, pontless statement. Holiday Turkey is as tourist friendly as anywhere. I'd rather go there than Trump's US.

You are a silly, low intelligence liar.

Turkey is a Tunisia waiting to happen, I don't want to be there when it does

Good thinking. In fact, why don't you stay at home for the rest of your life, just in case some sinister Islamists are planning something here. (y)
Is that your idea of a sick joke given that 2 days ago it was the anniversary of an islamic attack in this country that murdered 52 People.

No. It's my idea that you are either being a disingenuous twonk, or you don't understand probability stat's.

There may or may not be a risk of lightening somewhere in the UK, one week from today. To all the aveatry's out there - DO NOT TRAVEL!

Well according to the RW nutters, you won't want to be in the UK when 'it happens' here...

Unless of course you'll be a member of the 'cold rage' brigade that a certain politician wants the UK public to get involved in and riot on the streets? ;)
