There have been a few posts over the last couple of years recommending the Vokera Pinnacle. Do we all still like it, or is there a new favourite now?

Specifically, I'm looking for a combi that:

- Will heat a 3-bed flat. (Old boiler is 28 kW.)
- Can work efficiently when it's only heating one room, i.e. my home office during the day.
- Can supply hot water for one shower.
- Is no worse than average for the time for hot water to reach the taps.
- Is no noisier than average.
- Isn't so obscure that it's impossible to find an installer.

Thanks!

Well here it is, share any observations if you want:

Please forgive the dangling cables; I've said I'll tidy those up once some other things are done. There will be a shelf where the batten is. I am surprised by the lack of strain relief in both the boiler connections (opentherm and black wire to weather sensor) and the EPH receiver. Is this common?

Copper pipes and press-fit fittings are hidden under the insulation. The guy who did it was proud of his pipework and when he asked whether I wanted insulation all the way up to the boiler, he seemed disappointed with my reply of "no reason not to?". Again I will tidy that up in due course.

Currently it is only connected to the two living-room radiators (see my thread in "Projects", https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/insulating-my-ancient-living-room.648034/) and they've been briefly tested. I have, however, tested the hot water and I got my best shower for a few years!

(Edited to add: what do you think I (should have) paid?)

Main earth bonding is after the branch (Tee) and as you say wiring needs tidying up. Other than that seems ok

Main earth bonding is after the branch (Tee)

Right; as you can see there is no opportunity to fit it before the branch because they put the tee so close to the meter.

Previously there was an undersized cable; I had run a new 10mm cable from the CU while I had the floor up for them to connect. Then they left without connecting it, so I did it.

I've just found a drip from the mag filter connections... which seem to be full of LS-X.
