LED bulbs flashing on table lamps

Hi

I bought 2 different brands new table lamps, 2 new sets of E14 LED bulbs (OSRAM 6.5W and ARGOS 3.4W). All bulbs are dimmable and table lamps have 3 stage dim functions.

On all set ups and on both table lamps, the bulbs goes fom off, low, high and flashing and back to off when table lamps toiuch dim functions used. All bulbs works perfectly on rotary dimmer switch.

To work some electronic switches, not only dimming switches, a very small current is passed through the bulb even when off to work the electronics, if the by-pass resistor in the bulbs is not large enough, then the bulbs will flash.

Way to stop it is a capacitor across the bulb contacts or different bulbs, or a dimmer/switch which uses the neutral, or has a battery in it, or simply use smart bulbs and remove the dimmer.

The dimmer is built in the table lamps, 3 step touch dimmer.

BTW the two lamps are of different manufacturers so are the bulbs.

Whatever dimmer is built into the table lamp is not compatible with LEDs.

With the price of a smart bulb today, who wants a dimmer built into a lamp, I can understand when using 8 bulbs, so dimmer switch works out cheaper, but a standard lamp or desk lamp, there is really no point.

Money is no object.
Two bed side table touch lamps are easier and more convient to operate and is preferable in this application.
