What have you been doing today?

Did a little bit over the allotment today before the heat sent me packing. Different types of tomatoes are starting to ripen. This is about 1% of what I’ve got growing.

If @Notch7 was still about, I’d have sent him a sack just to shut him up! :ROFLMAO:

In the cemetery I saw four men carrying a coffin round and round/ 3 hours later I saw the same men with the same coffin and I thought to myself they've lost the fkn plot.
They wouldn't have had that problem burying the bloke who invented the postage stamp. He was burried top right of the cemetery, easy to find.

Had an offer from P&O today to upgrade from a suite to a penthouse suite. I always thought that if you were offered upgrades, they were free. Apparently not. You have to put a bid in for them and whoever bids the highest, gets it. Minimum bid on the penthouse suite though is £650 per person, so £1300 minimum to upgrade. From what I see, apart from getting a slightly larger dining table in your room and a couple of sun beds on your balcony, that’s it. Nah, you’re alright, I’ll pass on that.

Worth it for the DIYnot bragging rights alone I would have thought :D

Malmaison do the same sort of auction thing. I ended up with a suite when I stay in Newcastle for an extra £60…shame I was staying on my own. Generic picture below…didn’t use either bath

I couldn’t travel in anything less.

On the way back home this morning, I saw one of those large creamer gas canisters at the beginning of our estate on the green that we look after - the gas that one that kids use to fill up balloons and inhale. Probably been chucked out of a car. I stopped my car, picked it up and was walking towards the rubbish bin all of 10 yards away when I twiddled with the nozzle and found it was full - I got a blast of freezing gas onto the top of my finger. It hurt like hell and I lost all feeling in my fingertip. I went straight home and ran my hand under warm water for a couple of minutes until the feeling came back into my finger. I dread to think what could have happened had a child found and tampered with it. Bloody irresponsible I d I o t s.

Bloody hosepipe ban kicked in round here today. Normally I connect two together to water the patch of land across the road that we (local residents) adopted. Been humping watering cans over there tonight to keep the plants alive. I'm sweating like a pig and need to get in the shower right now. I've lost a couple of the plants in this long dry spell we've had but just about keeping it going. The earth is like dust, no matter how deep you dig.
