Advice on adding two double plugs onto the main ring via a fused spur

The plugs will be used for a hospital bed, a hoist type thing which weve been told need to be plugged directly into a wall socket. I wanted an extra double incase anything else came up in the future with the same requirements. Other things like a TV, a laptop, an electric photo frame etcbut that stuff can be put into gangway plugs etc.

Can't your uncle get some 2.5mm cable and tack it to the skirtings then fit a surface mounted socket(s).
I had more or less exactly the same thing with my wife before she died. They didn't even look at the socket when they installed it.

Potential voltage "sag" when starting a motor, because extension leads use smaller cables than fixed wiring?

I have three outside double sockets, two are plugged in to ring finals, so if they do get water ingress, easy to isolate, but at the socket no way would you know its simple plugged in.

So there is nothing to stop you, unless in a kitchen or outside in Wales, from making an extension lead and plugging it in. But the main question is why they want hard-wired sockets?

To house someone in a care home costs a lot of money, so in the main social services will bend over backwards to get your house suitable for the person to return home, have you asked social services?

We did ask if there was any finacial help OR if their O.T (Mediquip) could help but sadly they said they couldn't with regards to fitting sockets. They did mention a charity but after they contacted them they said they only help over 50's and she's 39. I'm buying the stuff to do it today with plans on her coming back Wednesday.

Tbh I think they're being over cautious or just petty for a lack of a better word and tbh I (and so does she) just want her back home. If that's what it takes rather than waiting for their official reply etc its a small price to pay.

From all the research and questions i've asked on forums "it doesn't need to be plugged into the wall. Ours isn't" is a very common reply. Looking online at the multiple hospital beds that are available none flag up that they'd need to be plugged into the wall. It's a simple hospital bed with a head raiser and leg raiser. There isn't an electric mattress (air matress) and the 'hoist' is an electric sara steady which just supports you as you stand and doesn't need to be plugged in constantly, only to charge.

Sorry, i thought i'd sayd in O.P he lives in Spain on contract with work and can't get home till after Christmas. I love him to be but he does some dodgy DIY lol which is why i wanted to run it past people on here

Can you do any diy at all. You could get one of these and just put a plug on it and screw the socket to the wall. You don't need the circuit breaker

I have a couple of beds which do that, not hospital beds, simple domestic. I am sure they use very little power, I can measure if you want, OK I did, 68 watt peak, so 13 amp is 3000 watts, I could run it off a power pack like this which gives out 300 watts.
