I gave our Susie’s toys a wash once and hung them on the line to dry. She just sat there watching them.

You can still take them back.
I’ve chucked all the wrapping away and Mrs Mottie has washed them already! Always handy to have some shirts that fit me that I can do the top button up to wear a tie with and not feel strangled. 18” neck, slimline fit. (y) A standard fit 18” neck fits me like a blouse! I even had one specially made for my daughter’s wedding. 17.5” neck and I’ve now grown out of it. Very uncomfortable.

Bought a load of spices in bulk.

I make lots of curries and buying a 400g or kilo bag is so much cheaper than those tiny jars you see in the supermarkets.

You can get some larger bags in some supermarkets, so I checked prices online and ordered the cheapest, making sure I got free delivery.

The garlic powder, for example, is less than half price in bulk compared to a small jar in Aldi.

Plus you never know, you might find someone who is going on a cruise on an inside cabin, you could give it to them to wear. It would save a lot of embarrasment

 I could take them with me in case they have a charity clothes box onboard for the insiders.

On my way back from Westfield Stratford as I type. Hunted high and low for dress shirts with hidden placket and French cuffs. Only managed to find one in all the shops over there in my size so that’ll have to do - there’s less than two weeks before we go. What I did notice though was that even in Moss Bros, they only had shirts that had the buttons on show. Urgh! If I have to take one with visible buttons, I’ll feel that I’ll refused entry to the posh restaurants and be sent to the buffet that night……

They did a cracking slim-fit pleated bib-front shirt in John Lewis but they only go up to a size 17.5” neck. I needed an 18”. Fattist barstewards!

Dress rehearsal. God, I’m a stunner. Keep it under your hat but I was approached today and asked if I’d be interested in auditioning to be the next Bond. I’m undecided at the moment, got too much on my plate already, what with the allotment and childminding duties….

Just got to dig out my silver cufflinks and shirt collar stiffeners, buy some red socks and I’m good to go.
