RAC Warranty

Im close to buying my new van.
Two issues

Its a pretty reg with 150 mile on it.

It got just over two years Ford warranty.

Extended RAC warranty is £900+ + vat for the fird year £1600 ++ for extra 2 years.

Is this something I could invest in later in time.


Also some of these Ford Custom Hybrids have a recall.

How do i find this out before I buy?

Would it not be better to extend the warranty with Ford? maybe make it a condition for you to buy the van.

There is no wet belt.

Not normally, no, but I’d need to look at the policy. They are usually breakdown warranties, not worn out and about to break warranties. You have to drive the vehicle until it breaks.

Worth asking? if they can knock £2000 off, it was obviously overpriced, hence the reason it's sat for a while.

If this is an upfront payment of 1600 for warranty in years 3 and 4 I think on balance I wouldn't be bothering with it

Depends partly on what type of trouble they're know for and cover and more probably

Years 1 and 2 will give some idea if van is troublesome and probably move it on
