Remote sensors for TRV's

well they would be an interlock so you could replace a room stat wif em
 
If you mean the sensors that are linked back to the valve with a capillary tube then they're so the sensor can be located on the wall at a convenient height if the valve itself is inaccessible or covered by curtains, etc. Rare beasts - I don't think I've ever seen one.

I fitted them the other month to some LST covers on some rads in an old folks home, first time I have seen them.
 
Seen them fitted when rad has direct sunlight on it from southern facing patio doors,, heat from sun was keeping trv off so remote sensor trv fitted with sensor out of direct sunlight

Yeahhhhhhh ........ I was round @ Mr Plumb-O'-Fix's they had some on display ...... & like ya do ..... I thought ...... Ummmmmmm :o
