The downstairs toilet has been moved ( due to extension) and the toilet was plumbed back in but not to an exterior wall...

The over flow pipe on the close-coupled cistern comes out of the base of the cistern, not the side, and is now a fair distance to the outside wall.

Therefore... can the overflow pipe be fitted to the soil-pipe ? If so how..

..Or... can a syphon with a built in overflow be fitted in the cistern... if so is there any way the overflow hole at the base of the cistern can be plugged ?

Hope this makes sense... Cheers

Yes, you can fit a syphon which has a shorter column which then will let it overflow internally down the pan. You then need to get a stopper to block up the hole where your old overflow exited the cistern.
