Is Microbore bad?

We have signed up for Powergen's heating cover. Before the cover starts they come and do a so called 'safety inspection'. The engineer had to phone his HQ and check if they could cover the pipework as we have Microbore

If installed correctly it is not a problem!!

Some installations with plastic pipes seem prone to blockages!!

Microbore in itself is not bad. Just more sensitive to sludging up, especially with open vent systems.

I'm not keen on plastic microbore because the relatively thick walls make the bore even smaller than with metal tube.

Confused now - is microbore plastic as our pipes are copper. Can you get copper microbore?

Also, the pipe diameter is 10mm not 8mm. I had to replace a rad valve last week, fitted a 10mm TRV

'Microbore' has traditionally been used to describe 8 and 10mm copper tubing, although I'm sure the term also applies to the 10mm plastic tubing too nowadays.

I think the plastic tubing only goes down to 10mm - probably due to it having thicker walls, as mentioned above.
