Even though the controller shows a flame on the boiler will not fire up.

I have tested the contacts on the controller are live and they seem fine.

Anyone help?

Bridge terminals 1 and 2. Isolate as these are 230v.

Terminals can be located by lowering the control panel and unclipping the small left hand cover

After talking to baxi i put a wire between 1 and 3 and nothing happened?

Why do you say 1 and 2?

Also, in the past i have turned the main isolator switch off for an hour and then it fired up again on turning the isolator back on.

??????

Ooops.

Will try tomorrow as I have had a few newcie browns and probably not a good idea to go messing with electricity!

Although, I turned the master switch off for about half an hour and ran the hot tap until cold.

On turning the master back on the heating fired up.

I just don't get it?

The heating is working tonight perfectly but I know in a couple of days it will stutter again and not switch on, does anyone know what would cause this?

Right, tried this. Why does this work?

Switched off at main switch and ran cold tap until water ran cold.

Then turned main switch back on and central heating works fine.

????

I don't know what my point is.

All I know is if you turn the isolator off and run all the hot water out of the tap system and turn back on, the heating fires back up.

I would like to know if anyone knows why and what I can do to fix.

Ta

PS cold tap is always cold whatever
