Hey again!

I just wondered, why on earth are the double sockets my upstairs bedrooms above head height? What confuses me even more is that in the same bedroom i have sockets at 'normal' height and those halfway up??? Very odd! There is also an aerail socket next to each, is this so that a TV or similar can be connected and the wiring be out of the way?

Have got pics if needed.

:D

Given the aerial socket I'd say it was a dead cert that it's so you can put a TV on a wall bracket up there, wouldn't you?

Are you saying in every bedroom, or many in one bedroom?

Pic would be good

I wondered because i thought it may be some new stupid regulation. I just think its an ugky thing to do..im sure its brilliant if you want your tv hanging off the wall but i just dont forsee myself putting a tv up there...so now i have ugly plug sockets halfway up my wall which would have been far better use down at normal level.

Lectrician, i have two bedrooms and there is one of these in each aswell as one other normal heighted double socket.

Remove the ones you don't want, remove the cables, ensure the integrity of the circuit is restored, make good the walls, redecorate.

Job done.
