Hi guys
Just got a quote in from a company to supply and fit a new Worcester greenstar 28i junior boiler.
Its not a straight swap , the old boiler is in the cupboard in the kitchen and we want the new boiler to be outside the cupboard, its only moving left by 3ft.
we originally wanted it in the loft and was quoted £2300, we changed our plans to keeping in the kitchen and the new quote is £2200, we though it would have came down a bit more than £100.
Here is what is on the quote to give you an idea of what there quoting for.
To remove existing boiler from cupboard. To supply and install Worcester Greenstar 28I Junior Condensing Combination Boilercomplete with horizontal flue and fascia digital programmer in the kitchen. to re-route pipework from stopcock to boiler. To connect new boiler to the existing system. To input inhibitor into system on completion. To upgrade gas supply to boiler posistion. To supply and install Thermostatic Radiator Valves and Locksield Valves to 6 radiators. To remove redundant materials. Price includes associated materials and labour
For The Sum of £2202.19 including vat.
Now when the guy came in to do the quote he never mentioned the need for new trv's or lockshield valves, all the ones we have work fine so why do we need these??
so does this sound about right??
also is there anyone on here that's from the Falkirk region in Scotland that can recommend any other company's we can try..
Cheers
Kev
