Is this a change from how long it took previously?
The time taken will depend on: how big the house is; how cold the house is when the heating is turned on; how cold it is outside; how quickly the heat is lost through walls, windows, floor and roof; how warm you want the house to be.
One hour could be OK; it depends on so many factors.
1. Is this a sudden or a gradual change?
2. Have you made any changes to the central heating?
3. Are all the rads getting hot?
4. If not, are some hot at the bottom but cold at the top, or vice versa?
5. Have you had the boiler serviced within the last year? If not, get it done.
More info would also be helpful, e.g: Boiler Make/Model; Room Thermostat; Radiator Thermostats; Motorized Valve etc etc
