So what's the big deal about the work you do?

I mean, it's hardly rocket science, is it?

I'm afraid that rockets scientists, and brain surgeons for that matter, will probably be too busy to look on this site......... you know, with the rocket science and brain surgery stuff :D

my next door neighbour was (moved a month or so back) a rocket engineer.

he used to come back from launches in Kazakstan and tinker with his old Vauxhall Cavalier.

I thought he's take a 'packed launch'.

whats so special about rocket science anyway? Now if you are talking about conveyor engineers thats a different argument altogether :D

Well for instance, take a plane and put it on a conveyor as a runway

bet youd be curious to know whether said plane could take off if the runway ran in the opposite direction to the thrust of the plane etc etc

What! you're not?? But there's still lots of life in this interesting problem and there are still loads of questions to be answered. :D

But is a conveyor not actually two pieces of conveyor connected together?

Whilst on the subject of conveyors - is the Mobius Strip unique in geometry? Hey Softus - where are you?
