Think we need a little bit more information, what type of build? Plain wood? Are the cables able to be hidden? Does it matter? What sort of circuits, how many circuits, what are the loadings? What size is the supply? What type of supply (TN-S, TN-CS or TT?) Are there any extraneous conductive parts?

~ Building at back garden
~ Plain wood
~ No need to be hidden, clipped or in trunking.
~ 1 circuit for lights inside and outside light
~ 1 circuit for 4 sockets
~ Supply cable unknown, so kinda need ideas on that
~ TN-CS supply
~ No conductive parts

Would I just run a armour cable from board in house, to a smaller board in outbuilding, then circuits from that ?

Yeah, that would be the common sense approach to it. The cables are better in trunking / conduit, what are you likely to plug in, I take it you'll be plugging a heater in? What else?

I guess so. It's not for me but someone else. Maybe a radio, small fridge. Probably stick it on a radial hu?

Do a search for terms like shed, outbuilding, garage, summerhouse - this has all been covered so many times....

From the board to the new summer house is around 50m away or just less. They are looking for outside light, inside lights, sockets to power fridge etc. What size of SWA will I need, and how did you come to this answer ?

Cheers !
