should joey barton ever be allow to play footie again and should he be made pay his victem 4 weeks of his wages, total £240.000. asn the guy had to have four weeks of work 8) that would stop these rich gobshi## thinking they can get away with tuggery

Youi know what kills me?...how the club stands by him..

Like many clubs these days..it never creases to amaze me how a guy will get thrown out and banned for sticking hes fingers up or give it a five knuckle shuffle at away supporters who are a good 100 yards away..or worse still dares commit the mortal sin of walking back to their seat at hlaf time with a quater of a pint of lager...as I accidently did this year and had three stewards and two of our 'finest' grab me and threating me with a life ban!! (I wasnt even hiding it..I genuinly forgot..)

But...spitroast some blond ...rape, run someone over, ..kill them and do a runner......beat someone up for nothing...shop lift, drive at 180 mph in your Bentley while coked / ****ed out of your head..steal..etc

And its 'welcome back son heres 100k a week...

as always who gives a flying fu## what the true fans want, money ,sex, big cars and rock n roll and thats just the managers

billyo, I'm from the Toon and a supporter.

Big Sam shouldn't have bought him in the first place. He already had this reputation before we signed him but anyway, he should have got a few years in clink and then a ban from footie. One thing is for sure, the rest of the premiership teams will be goating him come the new season and I think it'll only be a matter of time before he snaps again.

Yeah I think he should have to pay the lad compensation. 4-8 weeks wages doesn't sound hash to me. If I had to pay that it would be about £7000 and no one would blink an eye at that amount. Why should it make a difference if I earn £60,000 a week? Its all relative.

I'm so sorry for getting boring (although Joe-80 spotted that weeks ago), but the punishment should fit the crime... and then it should be enforced - without exception... then, and only then will idiots start to be deterred from committing these heinous crimes.

mangers don't care they will do anything or sign anyone to keep there job.

i agree with zampa about the hypocrisy' but lets be honest, young men fight! so what!
give them a place to go and do it and sell tickets for charity

young men fight, fact
young men will always fight, another fact!

plus
we dont know what that matey said or did to barton to make this happen.
it takes two to tango.

what is the point of booting out of newcastle? its easier to show a reformed character to kids than someone else on the dole.

Joey Barton [speaking]:
"The first day's the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in, hand you your uniform and force you to pose for the photographer while loads of fat, tattooed, skinheads shout abuse at you.
That's when you know it's for real.
A whole life blown away in the blink of an eye.
Nothing left but all the time in the world to think about it.
That's when it hits home.
That's when you realise . . . .

. . . . you've signed for Newcastle."
