The best thing about Ryanairs troubles will taking the smile off of smug, annoying Michael O'leary's face. They say pride comes before a fall.
He is always criticizing other airline's business models, but the trouble is that the Ryanair business model is built on low fares. When costs go up massively, then he can't survive on charging low fares. Add to this the fact that family budgets are under immense strain, meaning fewer people travelling.
The only thing that may help then through the current situation is that they have £1.7bn in cash reserves!
