Best you leave it to a RGI. They will have the right tools and ensure your installation is legal and SAFE.

the steel pipework & valve will need to be removed & replaced with a ' 1/2"m & f anti explosive double diaphragm compensating pressure reducing isolation valve with internal non-reversible flame trap'.
if you need to ask the question then that instantly tells me you are not competant to work on gas.

not sure about your bs, but Plumb Center should have them on the shelf.
the new EU ones are part of the actual valve & they are smaller than the old ones.

They dont like paying the extra for gas PTFE tape in Scotland.
