Yes you can do that if you wish ive done it before just becareful not to disurb things if it was me id screw a length of wood to it to give u a edge to cut down il asume ur useing a precast lintel if so leave a decent gap to bed the top of the lintel
Hi john do you already have the window ? If not get one made so it fits with out cuts
with cuts personaly id just use the blocks from the hole u created
Yes you could do that and cover it with a plastic trim or moulding or speak to your supplier of the door they make addons that you screw into the frame either side for your exsact situation
Ive had that exsact problem in my kitchen with the drainer running over the bolts i used the router to cut a 10mm ish rebate free hand to accomodate the lip on the underside and clipped were i could and bonded the area i couldnt no issues at all
It depends hoe much weaker ? If its 6.1 id rake it out as deep as i could get and repoint it and as far is it stands legal you had a contract with your builder to provide you with an exststension he chose to sub it out there for u could take him to court qnd sue him for a repair he could...
Its very difficult to say with out seing in tbh personaly id opt for putting back what was already there why was the floor condemed? Rotten ? If so what caused it ?
