    fitting RCBO to lighing circuit

Hi all, Need to confirm that it is fine to fit an RCBO (6A 30mA) as a direct replacement for a 6A MCB on the non-protected side of a split CU. Currently have all light circuits, cooker and boiler non-protected side of split CU and all others on RCD protected side. I need to protect...

What size waste for two bathroom basins into one waste?

Delays with the bath meant only getting round to fixing the basins now!! Decided to run two seperate 32mm wastes for each basin. My question now is, will the chrome traps be sufficient? Or are they not effective? I only have about 3.5" between the end of the trap and the wall, so unless...

Gutted - cracks appeared in new fibreglass tub

I am absolutely gutted  - Just finished fitting and tiling around a new fibreglass tub (Omni Duo). Having been in use for approximately one week I have noticed that cracks have appeared in the bottom of the tub. The cracks eminate from the centre of the bath in the area where the...

Thanks, but it's not that one! The one I had was like a round pole that flexed a certain amount but didn't bend and keep it's shape. Anyone else?

    flexible shower curtain rail

I need to purchase a flexible shower rail to avoid a window by the bath - I remember buying and fitting an ideal solution for my last house but cannot for the life of me remember who made it! Getting round to fitting two wall-mounted basins in a stud wall dividing bathroom and bedroom. My question is regarding the water feeds and wastes - is it a necessary requirement to be able to access the pipework in the stud wall through an access panel? If so, is this better done...

got the walls lined with aquapanel and almost ready to tile aprt from adhesive/tape on the joints which I was going to do just before tiling commences. I was also going to use BAL WP1 waterproofing kit on the cement board and in particular the joints to ensure there is no trouble in the...

    shower fan light

Are these any good? Or should I stick to a seperate fan? Trouble is, external wall is engineers bricks (excrutiatingly hard and time consuming to drill!) and my house has no soffits to vent a ceiling mounted extrator fan. Is there another way of venting through the ceiling/loft/roof?

    Recommended bathroom lighting

Anyone have a nice bathroom lighting set up that they would recommend? Thinking of downlighters (one above the shower area and then another 2 or 3 in the ceiling of the L shape bathroom) but wondered if anyone has an alternative that they are pleased with? Thanks
