Glad it's sorted and you've not invalidated the guarantee so you can get another when this oven blows up. ;)

I think work on the CU is generally notifiable to the LABC so you did the right thing getting a sparks in. If he is kosher, he will be a member of a scheme that notifies the LABC on your behalf. :)

Yeah, I hear ya. This is the 3rd Hotpoint in 12mths. :eek:

As regards notifying, the guy who did the RCBO swap for me is an electrician by trade, but as he did the job as a favour (knew him from various site work weve been on), I gave him some beers and a tip of the hat.

Nuff said I think ;)
