Glad it's sorted and you've not invalidated the guarantee so you can get another when this oven blows up.

I think work on the CU is generally notifiable to the LABC so you did the right thing getting a sparks in. If he is kosher, he will be a member of a scheme that notifies the LABC on your behalf.

Yeah, I hear ya. This is the 3rd Hotpoint in 12mths.

As regards notifying, the guy who did the RCBO swap for me is an electrician by trade, but as he did the job as a favour (knew him from various site work weve been on), I gave him some beers and a tip of the hat.
