I hope that someone can help. I have drained my heating system to fit a new pump and fill it with cleaner as it is rather inefficient. I have refilled it and bled the rads, the pump, the high-point in the airing cupboard and above the boiler itself. The system is quiet, but the boiler over-heat button pops after a few minutes. I wait for while, reset it and try again, but with the same result.

I assume that there is a air-block in the boiler itself, but I do not know how to shift it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please note that this is not a result of me fitting the new pump: this problem happens every time the system is drained for anything at all.

Thank you.

James.

take the centre disc off the pump whilst its running. use a tea towel or bowl to catch water dribbles and the disc, dont let it drop cos it will find a hole in the floorboards sure as hell.see if that gets it running for longer.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried both of these and then just left it for a while. It all seems well now.

Thank you.
