Trying to make a decision on which sliding compound mitre saw to invest in. I've decided to spend decent money and have come down to either the Dewalt DW712 or the Bosch GCM10SD saws.

From what I can see there's not much difference between them, the Bosch can cut slightly deeper but the base plate on the bosch looks smaller.

Anyone care to comment? Many thanks. Here's the links with the info on them both;

can't say about the bosch but I have been using the dewalt for over a year now and no problems, a very acurate saw, some people have said there is a problem with the bed on some of them but I haven't noticed any problems, cuts perfect mitres on frames etc.
get a dewalt saw stand as well you will wonder how you ever managed without one.

if i was going to spend the money i would spend the bit extra on the dewalt dw708. I bought one last year and it is superb. Ive used it for all manner of things from accuratley cutting kitchen cornices and pelmets to decking and oak baulks. superb bit of kit, if a little heavy
