Is it the forum policy not to provide reset codes? I have an ADT 931 alarm.

The power supply to the house was cut for a few days and the battery was drained - When I res tored power we had a message on the control panel saying "Call Engineer"

ADT want £130 for the first 30 minutes which is a lot more then we can afford - Any way of getting the alarm back into a condition we can use?

On my experience with Swale security systems (adt) you will be very lucky to find anyone brave enough to post the code, ..............
So you would post the code for your systems then, and anyone else's that you know, but just not ADT?

And, before you or anyone else thinks of it, I would not give an engineer code to any end user. Under any circumstances.

Hmmm that's strange as I had ADT out this week to move my panel and they charge £85 for the callout and the first hour and then £31 for each additional 30 minutes ( I do have a monitoring contract with them though)

i cant believe how unprofessional some people are "europlex", all swale did was give advice. i have read a few of your responses and most of them are not helpful they just seem to rip those who do help!

I hope to god you dont work for a security firm! as you are one nasty individual....

if anything i think you should be banned!

completely disapprove of your unnecessary comments!

Been in this business for more years than I care to remember, 40+ so I think I have enough knowledge to pass comment if I feel it's warranted.

The usual problems are with people who do not use the SEARCH facility that is at the top of every page, 99% their questions have been asked a lot more than once.

Secondly, they usually don't like being told the truth.

Codes should NEVER be revealed especially on a Forum such as this lets not forget we are talking "SECURITY" when I was an Alarm Engineer it was a Sackable offence to reveal an Engineer Code to anyone

Once I was wrongly called out by our CS to a site on arrival I could not gain acces to the panel even my CS would not pass the Engineer Code of one of our Companies other branches to me!! and I had to leave site with the problem unresolved while the CS contacted the correct branch duty engineer - frustrating for the Security guard that had been called out to the activation!
