Hi, Im fitting a kitchen kickboard, the floor is uneven , Ive read to trim the top off not the bottom, but then my joints will not be quite square, is that the correct way to do it ?
If you trim the top off it will not cover where the floor runs out.
Either level the floor, as foxhole says, or scribe the bottom of the board to the shape of the floor.
Depending on the amount of run out this mat simply be done by aligning the top edge correctly and sliding a pencil along the floor.
If the gap is too big place the pencil on a thin, narrow piece of wood to raise it to the correct height. Trim the bottom edge to the pencil line.
