Conspiracy theories

Haters gotta hate.
Brexiters certainly hate the most

They hate the EU
They hate immigrants
They hate Germans
They hate French
They hate the Supreme Court
They hate John Bercow
They hate remain MPs

Driven by hatred poor little lambs.....they are devoid of original thought
:ROFLMAO:

We all know who the haters are & it really bothers you that it’s not us.

Well we will all know what the short term effects will be fairly soon and then have to wait for X years to see what the long term ones are.

As to UK in general sounds like we will be getting what the current party usually offers. That's becoming increasingly clear.

Suppose that was part of the premise behind starting this topic. I would assert some theories are out and out stupid e.g. flat earth. However there are many that it's valid to consider/debate as oppose to just dismissing. I also get concerned when I hear people react to things in a sort of 'the government/establishment tell me x is fact, I therefore believe this unquestionably' kind of way. Accidents/assignations are a case in point.

there is good money to be made out of good conspiracy theory / event

books
films
T.V series

;)

Does anybody follow the mudflood theory. Its the belief that in the mid 19th century the entire globe was engulfed in a layer of mud 3m+ deep. The "evidence" is basements in old buildings that were supposedly originally at ground level but were subsequently dug out by orphans transported on orphan trains, (though who dug out the railways is never explained).
Its gradually developing to include more ridiculous fairy tales ie giants, free energy buildings, a worldwide Tartarian empire, church organs are some sort of advanced tech, the list goes on.

I posted on this a few weeks ago (in the DNA thread).

Especially with regard to government monitoring / erosion of personal freedoms, it's a case of when , rather than "no chance"..

This is what makes me chuckle whenever civil liberties are brought up, or conspiracy theories about them are stated, and when they are slated.

IMHO, very few people think that they won't be chipped / tracked / dna-profiled at some point in the future.
The arguments begin when the "conspiracy theorists" say "it's coming", and "the deniers" say "you're a sandwich short of a picnic".

In reality, the only thing in dispute is when it will happen, not if.

There is a big difference between believing the police DNA database will grow to include most people in the UK and believing that Covid-19 testing is an attempt to build a super secret database behind our backs.

One is cynical and quite probably right, the other is just silly. This thread is for silliness.

In your opinion, it depends what conspiracy someone wants to question.
