Premier elite and smartcom issue

Good afternoon all, I’m a new user but been reading stuff on here most the way through “lockdown” lots of good info on a variety of subjects

anyway on to the issue

We have just bought a house and I decided to install a Texecom alarm mainly due to its ability to arm and disarm using Paxton net2 door entry. I have installed these in the past with no issue, although never the wireless and with it being a new build this seems logical and also never with smartcom which seemed like a smart move

anyway system was installed in august and had been working fine then about 8weeks ago a tamper alarm triggers on zone 13 whilst I was at work I logged on remotely to the House and used winter to clear the fault

It did it again last week, only this time it then locked me out and I had to power cycle the whole system to bring it back online this is where it got fun. No fobs worked and smartcom/ winter couldn’t talk to the system and I had to enable the smartcom on the panel no biggy.

Since this I can arm and disarm no issue from the panel but the iOS app when I say full arm it comes back part arm but I can’t find anywhere that’s got part arm programmed and as I say same user code works fine on the panel ?

any suggestions ???

back ground on system design

I will be using areas and was planning over the bank holiday to activate the other areas to allow segregation of building and areas from the one alarm

zone 1 is the main house

we are only worried about setting the full alarm no need for part arm

zone2 side garage
Independent at from main house purchased sensors but not configured yet
1 x pir 1 x door contact

zone 3 car garage
1 x pir 1 x shock/ glass 2 x door contact

zone 4 workshop

1x pir 1 x door contact

All areas will be linked to Paxton in time but getting basics in place with independent systems functional before further integration

At a guess ….maybe …when you connected by wintex ? Did you upload before sending any new configs ? Common mistake is not saving any changes on wintex so on the next upload / download it is sending a different config , I’ve done it before when adding fobs and forgot to upload and save afterwards , when you say it is showing part set when you full set is something omitted ? Or do you have autopart set ?
What panel is it ?

I connected by wintex and downloaded current config added users and then re uploaded, once changes were made it gives you the option on the left panel to send update although interestingly I did notice earlier before I posted that it’s only showing 3 users despite knowing there are 4 on the system…..

System is a premier elite64w with smartcom
3 x pir
1 x panel
1 x door contact

When I press arm on the app it switches to part arm and sets it as part arm but doesn’t actually seem to arm anything……

Did you press the save icon ? on wintex ?

Pretty sure I did but when I go back in a bit I will try again just in case as I need to get it sorted so we have an alarm fully working again lol

The "Send update" button on the left of Wintex can do strange things, it only sends the things that have been changed since you last saved the Wintex file. So if you make changes in Wintex and save them before pressing the "Send update" button it doesn't send anything.

It's often better to use the Send button at the top of the screen and then either "Send Panel Programming Data" to send everything or "Send current page" to send just the current Wintex page to the panel.

Hi all sorry for the delay,

got home tonight I downloaded the latest config of the panel check the users and checked the areas all seemed find so just added the option to set area a,b,c,d so they appear to it for my user and re sent to the system not the smartcom app crashed when trying to open on my phone with any user ID

then the panel started beeping with a com1 fault last time it showed that I had to re add the smart com to the panel

any suggestions

Take a new copy of your profile from the panel and download it and save it.

enter the engineers code into the app and sync panel (or does the engineer user not work also?)

When you say app crashed which App do you have V1 or V2, is the smart coms firmware upto date?

Com 1 fault (how you using wintex, what were the comports programmed as, how are the comports connected, 4 wire to com 1, 2 wire to com 2 or something else?)
