New Pifco oil filled radiator 800w has badly discoloured on one section, any ideas why. Only 4 weeks old.
Oil filled radiator discolouration.

looks like localised overheating, unless something has been accidentaly spilled on that part and has "burnt" on
If the discolouration does not wipe off (something spilled on it), then take it back, it is faulty.
@wrightyintheafternoon you should send that MBE back

Nope doesn’t wipe off and it’s even discolouration all around the section, will be returning tomorrow.
I suspect a tiny oil leak at the seam, that has baked on. Shake the heater. If it is no longer completely full of oil you will hear it splashing inside. It might have dripped from the seam above.
