Its about time that foreign aid was withdrawn and replaced solely by disaster aid. Why do we send money to China, India, Pakistan etc who have large armies, nuclear capability's and astro industries, they should put their own house in order before spending on these things.

I used to be against foreign aid.
I agree the likes of India and China should be excluded but poor countries do need it.
However I think the money falls into the wrong hand. So our government should not give money but build infrastructure to benefit the poor. And do this using British firms.

Who was it that once correctly stated that "foreign aid is taking money from the poor people of a rich country and giving it to the rich people of a poor country".
