Help ! Need some input from you guys

Shower tray (install 5 years ago by tradesperson) has been making crunchy noises when I stepped on it.
It's on riser legs. Walls on 3 sides. I looked underneath the tray and it appears that the legs at the back may not be supported and need adjusting. I will try to post the picture on here . Its the one on the right which the rim seems not to be screwed up to support. I can't find much online about how these legs are meant to operate. hence me asking for some confirmation. It was a Mira low rise kit.

Its an 800 tray. I can reach the middle supports, but not the ones at the back are too far for me. Perhaps a tall person with slim arms could reach the back. The waste in the middle does not make things easy either.

Has anyone done this before ? Is there a tool that might extend my reach ? Should the wider 'lip' be all the way to the top to support the tray ?

Any help appreciated.

My regular plumber who is the same height as me managed to adjust all the legs with a grip. Tray now quiet. Thank goodness. Made my day.

The question now is were they always like that or have they unscrewed themselves over time. ? I will be checking regularly from now on.

Could always borrow an urangutan from the local zoo next time, they work for bananas :giggle:

Yes, it's still happening. A yearly fix from my plumber has kept it going except he's now off sick.

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the legs. When I looked at the tray today, one of the legs the revolving "collar" at the top was loose. Is this supposed to be firm so that it is supporting under leg? What is the point of this collar?

Does the foot/ leg itself rotate to fix the height?

Mira Flight Low Profile Riser Kit 900mm - 1.1697.030.WH

The instructions are as bad as IKEA

Any help really appreciated

Ideally fix base of leg to prevent movement . Closest to camera appears to have a cracked upper mount ?

Which photo Foxhole? The original at the first post or the new photo?

Block of timber, then add hardboard or ply packers glued on top, until it provides adequate support. Whilst testing the fit, add a loop of rope around the block, until you have the correct height. Push the block into position, with a stick, or etc..

Hi Harry

Can you clarify the loop around the block thing and what I'd be trying to achieve with it. Thanks

A rope, looped around the timber block, so that you can easily pull the block back out, whilst you are in the process of adjusting the height of the block. Once the block is in place, and you are happy with the height, you can remove the rope completely.

A suitable block, might be one of those timber blocks you see on delivery pallets.

To practice Harry's idea, take the plinth off the front of your floor mounted cupboards in your kitchen - it's the same legs.
Maybe you could add another one of these to under the tray of you can get it in and upright ? " spread the load" and all that ?

Great advice/tip Harry. Thanks!
