What a difference in response YW v NPG

I reported, several times, a water leak to YW in a public road, but just got basic, automated replies, and nothing fixed.

Last week, I reported overgrown hedges, from a sub-station, causing a bit of an obstruction to a local footpath, to NorthernPowerGrid, via email. I didn't include my phone number, or home address. I received an immediate acknowledgment, quickly followed by a personal reply thanking me for letting them know, and that they would check it out within 5 days. This morning they rang me (?), to say they would have their specialist contractor deal with it, within 7 days.

Now, how did they get my phone number - they must have trawled through their customer records to find it. Not a problem!
 
Hardly - I've never had cause to speak to them before..
