It's often racists who make the allegation, as it suits them very nicely for the word to lose its definition.

Its a derogatory term aimed at white men.

You're failing to understand.
It may well be a term applied to angry men with reactionary or right-wing views, and those men may be predominantly, or even always, white.
But it's applied to them because of their views, not because of their innate racial characteristics.
Try reading this.
