Hi,
Ive purchased a GROHE 36267000 Euroeco Cosmopolitan T Self-Closing Shower Valve, but the manufacturing looks faulty.
The 1/2 inch outlet is almost completely obstructed with metal, with just a couple of mm open at the bottom, as if it's not been milled correctly.
Have I reason to return the item, or is it OK? I'm worried about the low flow thats likely with the valve in this condition.
Many thanks.

Looks like the sub standard brass casting and finishing that lots of stuff ends up like these days. A lot of it comes from Asia and is produced en masse. Will it alter the performance, if it's mains pressure then unlikely to notice much difference, lots of taps, mixers, valves etc all have these rough narrow waterways now. Would another one be better, probably not.

Would be interesting to hear what Grohe have to say though as far as finishing quality is concerned, as I guess it wasn't cheap.
