Thanks to you gentlemen, I am happy to report that I have installed my first WC (IMG_9531). It's not perfect. I had to place the pan fixing lugs on the outside (IMG_9532) because my Truvo indicated metal below the floor tile on the left lug of the commode (inside the pan). So I did not risk drilling there. Because of the fixed location of the sewer pipe, I couldn't move the commode from its sewer connection and had no other choice than to put the lugs outside. IMG_9527 is a shot of the inside of the cistern, to show the stainless steel cistern to pan sealing/securing bolt, which Andy recommended. I already had two pairs of mild steel bolts which I got repairing the previous, and now deceased, WC. But decided to use the stainless fixings, after my experience in having to cut off the rusted mild steel ones under the previous WC's pan.
The instructions for putting in the seat fixings were a complete dog's breakfast, but I did the best I could and am happy with the result. No leaks or weeping so far. I had to replace the 900mm flexible hose with a 1500mm one.
