You've replied to an argument I never made. Nobody said Farage's quotes were beyond criticism. The issue is the timing. A politician had just been murdered, yet The Guardian thought it appropriate to mock concerns about violent political imagery, are you with me, hello Mcfly? Yes i know you hate 'Far-rage' etc etc yes we know that well done, your friends on here know that and congratulate it also.

If your only response is "but but but Farage said things I don't like.. waa waa..", you've completely sidestepped the point. Ironically, while accusing others of lacking self-awareness, stop smoking da weed.

Indeed, and the funny thing is I wouldn't support Nigel as our next leader or Prime Minister, but I do support his willingness to speak up. Some people have been convinced that simply expressing an unpopular opinion is somehow unacceptable. More fool them, as above ive demonstrated with Odds he mostly misses the point, the reasoning is too simple in his mind to instantly assume X. Silly S'Odd

What I don't support, as you say, is people wishing ill health, violence or worse on those they disagree with. There are people on this forum who routinely use some pretty nasty rhetoric and somehow get a free pass. Yet I suspect that if the same behaviour were directed at them or their own family, they'd suddenly recognise how unacceptable it is.

Being able to distinguish between disagreeing with someone's views and wishing them physical or mental harm is the hallmark of a civilised society. Failing to make that distinction is a step towards the sort of behaviour we'd expect from a society where intimidation replaces debate. That is not welcome here on this forum or any part of the UK, maybe these people have been born elsewhere and don't understand this concept.

No rules broken, no ad hom's are there that is picking on you other than replying with perhaps a light hearted joke that is clear for all to see. @festive has put his point across along with his own views. You have nothing to complain about given some of your past comments along with your mates comments.

Fromage is a publicity hound. If you think for one minute that he didn't deliberately inflate this incidednt for his own ends, you are deluded.

Hence the disinterest from the police. They ought to send Fromage a cease and desist letter or an invoice.
