Paslode nail guns, which one ?

Hi, I have decided to buy a paslode nail gun but cannot afford to buy 1 for first fixing and 1 for second fixing. As far as I can see there are 2 popular guns, first fixing at 50-90mm nails and second fixing at 19-64mm nails so im tempted to buy the second fixing model and hope that it manages most of the first fixing that i need to do.

Is this a bad move ?
I notice that the models have different heads and am wondering if the second fixing head will prevent use for first fixing ?

Any advice welcome..........

get the first one. since it can do what the 2nd one does and more. It may cost more, but it does save you having to buy the bigger one latter in life

They are both the same price I have both but started with the first fix one it is obviously great for framing of stud walls roofs etc and can be used for skirtings , some pannelling etc but is maybe just a bit too heavy duty for fine mouldings and architraves. remember they dont fire the same nails the second fix model uses only 18 gauge brads which at 64mm max are all but useless for framing and the first fix model fires 2.8-3.1mm nails.You can however get a special foot for the first fix model which prevents damage to the wood if that is ever important.
In my opinion they are two different tools for different jobs.
I would never be without either ever again my hammer is now only for pulling out nails and bashing things into place.

not a mark on it, never used one before so any tips!?

got to do a whole load of oak skirting, before I mess it up what sort of starter jobs ought i try out in order to get a feel for it?
