    Bath trap connection

I don’t like the ridges on the flexible connectors as they accumulate dirt. I think of using a bent like in the photo, shall I go for a wide bent or a normal one as it is underneath the bath and don’t want to open it for cleaning.

Emergency Light Outside a FIRE EXIT

Sorry I did not make it clear but I do not wish to have the emergency lights outside permanently on as it will highlight to the burglar where the available entrances are and there are 4 around the building, as it is an old mill. There is not enough ambient light outside as the exits come out...

Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell vs Diamond Matt

I’ve rung Dulux this morning as I was getting a chalky effect on diamond Matt and they confirmed this is the effect that people like. I asked about wipe-ability and although on the net it says wipeable etc the lady suggested that I go with the Diamond Eggshell instead. I am painting over...

    Fixed Fireproof Downlights

I had Ip65 rated Mr16s that I fitted myself with an electronic driver specific for LEDs but the electrician replaced them with fixed 230V . My experience with the 230V is that they overheat but thats back in 2009 when I fitted some GU10s within a hood in a residential. I'm wondering if the 230V...

    Fixed Fireproof Downlights

I had a full rewire and the electrician removed the MR16 12V IP65 downlights from the bathroom and replaced them with fireproof 240V ones. The problem is these, although LEDs, they are hard wired to a junction box in the loft and have no replacement bulbs. So does that mean that when the LEDs...
