Hi, It's a brick cavity. The cable will be going from the inside to the outside. I was just thinking of some protection if at some point the walls get insulated.

Hi, Is there a recommended size conduit for 1mm flex to run through. It's only a small run through a cavity wall but I thought it best to protect it. Would conduit with an internal diameter of 10mm be too tight? Thanks, Dan

Thanks for the help with this, he didn't use a primer first, the wood did look like it had some sort of varnished finish on it, it definately wasn't bare wood as it had to be cut down a bit at the front and the finish at the front which was bare wood was definately different to the top part...
