    Fence height

Thanks here is a picture of 2 of my neighbours which are a good bit larger than 6ft. I looked at a trellis but don’t want the upkeep up a bush and artificial ones look tacky imo

    Fence height

I have an issue where I am right opposite a community centre who have people standing pretty much everyday directly opposite smoking and chatting. It’s not their fault, but they’re literally staring into my house all the time. I’d like to be able to walk around in my bare arse if the moment took...

Second opinions, is this wall out?

No but seriously, wall is out by around 2 inches. Any ideas? I normally use grab adhesive for skirting but this will obviously not work in this case. I was thinking about drilling some countersinks into the skirting and using plugs and screws? I’m reluctant as I know it will look bowed but do I...

    Paving Slabs

I am planning to continue the pavers in the area in red to set my bins and a few other bits. I’ve never done any kind of paving work and was wondering the best way to go about this. It would be 9 slabs in total. My plan is to 1. Dig area out and level with type 2 MOT (I don’t think I will need...

    Neighbours decking

I have an issue where my neighbours decking overhangs on my side and anytime it rains or he gets it pressure washed, all the muck comes into my side. I put some fence panels up but there is still a small gap at the bottom. Any idea what I could do? Cement maybe? I don’t know. Thanks in advance.

    Trim Size

Thanks. I live in NI and delivery is £80 I cannot find ANYWHERE that sells this size locally. Tiler reckons because they’re so thick and there are only 6 trim wouldn’t be necessary. Could I potentially fit this retrospectively? It says for outdoor use also. It’s just more for aesthetics...

    Trim Size

I got 6 of these tiles for front. Tiler came this morning and said I wouldn’t be able to get a trim that size and would have to get it myself. What size would you recommend for these? They are 20mm thick. Thanks in advance...

    UPVC Door Trim

Hello. I fitted a new door panel and had it painted along with the frame. Unfortunately, the seal seems to be peeling off as it is rubber (The painter also painted the inside rubber seal around the frame which I have since replaced). I am not taking the panel out and was wondering if these trims...

    UPVC Door

Just had my UPVC front door painted. I bought a Zinnser Paint specifically for upvc (£94 for 5 litres). I got the UPVC panel replaced with a cottage style one last week as the old one had holes in it so the surface was immaculate and flat. Overall I’m happy, I knew that painting with a brush...

    Bulging Wall

I posted in another forum about plastering I had done taking a while to dry. Basically there was a window here which was bricked up and plastered however on closer inspection, it seems to be bulging next to where the bottom of the window was. I’m not a plasterer but I’m pretty sure walls should...

    Drying time

Hello, I had an old window removed and plastered and a new one put into what will be a little office. The plaster around the window seems to be lightening nicely however the window is still quite dark. It was finished 1 week ago today. I’m keen to paint it but want to wait until it’s fully dried...
