I am planning to continue the pavers in the area in red to set my bins and a few other bits. I’ve never done any kind of paving work and was wondering the best way to go about this. It would be 9 slabs in total. My plan is to

1. Dig area out and level with type 2 MOT (I don’t think I will need a digger for such a small area)?

2. Compact area (I was just going to do this with a manual compactor)

3. Dot and dab mortar and lay slabs on top.

Am I missing anything? Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Dot and Dab gives you those patches that you can see on the existing paving

No MOT required, you are storing bins not parking a car.

Dig out 100mm, 50mm sand, bed the slabs direct. But dabs tend to be easier for DIY
