I'm interested in making a few things that would need a loom. I looked at the prices and they are a bit pricey for me. They dont look that hard to build but I cant seem to find any plans or instructions anywhere on-line that are detailed enough to work from. Does anyone have a link to anything...

Cheers John. I'm just researching now how to seal the bottom/make a base or raised legs on a plastic one. At least I'd be able to use 're-cycled' timber on the inside to brace it, so should give some savings.

Just did a quick search on here about them after I posted the question and the first 10 or so threads were mainly saying terrible condensation. Then I came across the 'plastic shed' option, which are double the price of metal but less than half the price of buying timber. I'll keep my mind open...

So a really thorough clean with wire wool or something 'softer' ?

But wouldn't that sort itself out after a few days, as the moisture would be burnt off after a few mins? We don't have pans boiling over with any regularity, maybe once a month on one ring at most.

UPDATE - I took this in to a local garage and they fixed it. They brazed a sleeve on. Thanks for all the help on this forum. (I also have the whole exhaust system saved on my ebay list, just in case for next time) I dont know anything about brazing. How hot would your flame/metal have to be to...

Although our windows are pretty old (25 years maybe) they very nice cosmetically but have just started to lose their seal and have moisture in between the two panels. It's unsightly ,and I guess that means they are not as efficient at keeping the cold out and the heat in? I hear they can re-do...
