    Hi gents i have a tv unit that needs tidying up a bit there are a lot of scratches and chips in the veneer, is it safe to use a paint stripper on it so we can restain or do we need to sand it. would a wood filler take care of the chips, this unit is about 15 20 years old with wood veneer.

    Hi we have a upvc french door that locks when it wants two, when the door is open the bolts and claws seem to be catching on the frame somewhere its well lubed so its not that, any ideas or advice welcome thanks.

    Hi gents the ceiling is 7x4 m and has artex on it, it is a flat pattern with small high spots on it would it be better to steam it all off and get it skimmed or just skim over the artex. The ceiling is sound and p/b. Any idea what the cost might be roughly.

    Thanks gents yes you are quite correct no earth in the lighting circuit,the house was built in the 60s so using plastic faceplates and class 2 fittings.
