I am gas safe registered, I just haven’t ever fitted a boiler with a vertical flue. I imagine you were lucky enough to have fitted one before you fitted one for the first time. Thanks for the help though.

The pump is definitley orientated correctly but I havent checked if there is hot water coming out of the drai. The manifold is cold but I suppose it would be of water isn't moving. I'll try draining some off when I go back. Thanks for the help!

I have attached a picture. The pipe from the motorised zone valve is hot but none of the other pipes coming from the mixer valve are hot.

I fortunately not, I did suggest that they do just that. I prefer bar showers but they have no plans to remodel the bathroom for a while and they have no spare tiles. somebody should make a nice chrome plate predrilled for a bar shower and big enough to cover the hole left by a concealed valve!!
