    Insulating new concrete floor

Hi Our plumber said its best to fit all new pipework before we lay our 100mm Celotex floor insulation. We now have copper pipes 1 inch away from 2 walls running horizontal. This means that the perimeter insulation will end up 2 inches away from the wall. This also means that where there is...

    Is this price for real?

Yes I accept that paying navvie prices is not cost effective but I do not feel £250 a day is justifiable. My hubby is self employed and he too has to cover himself for various things but he does not earn £250 a day and to be honest he is lucky if he earns that over 2 days. I'd be lucky to earn...

    Is this price for real?

Wow!!! Are tilers really on £250 a day? If so then they are earning more than our plumber and builder (very good workmen) There are good tradesmen out there and there are greedy b-stads, which is a shame.

    Is this price for real?

I am not good with working out size I'm afraid. The room is standard height and its 5 ft by 5ft with 1 doorway and no windows. The walls are newly built blockwork and the tiler said that we need to Bond this first before we can tile. So do we need to tile and plaster before we can tile?
