Is this a fair price for box profile sheeting?

I got almost the exact same quantity of sheeting from cladco in glasgow for about the same cost

Painted Shiplap rotting at the bottom edge (1)

Maybe consider replacing the bottom-most boards with recycled plastic or composite shiplap? One name is Cladco, but there will be others. It certainly won't rot any time soon

SIPs Garden Studio (aka 'Shed') Build Sequence

Y agree Tyvek is excellent, but was going to be twice the price and the cheaper alternative still has all the BS EN. Agree steel box profile is good for unseen sides - exactly what I did - Cladco.

Timber sizes and spacing for a monopitch roof on timber outbuilding

Hey MrPlank, I’m planning on building a similar shed/workshop in my garden with exactly the same span as you mentioned above. Just wondered if you completed the build and what spec you went for (timber size and centres). I’m planning on using the Cladco box profile too. Cheers

Timber sizes and spacing for a monopitch roof on timber outbuilding

...into account buildings regs, proximity to boundary etc the clear span of my roof will now be 2.9m. Will 6x2 or even 4x2 rafters be suitable as I think 8x2 may be overkill? I've also decided to stick with cladco roof sheets and ensure shed is well ventilated to hopefully negate mass condensation.

Timber sizes and spacing for a monopitch roof on timber outbuilding

Great stuff MrPlank, that's what I'll prob opt for as it’s tried and tested by your good self! With regards to the Cladco box profile I was gonna use 2” x 1” for purlins running across the joists at 600mm centres as only carrying weight of sheet. Would this suffice or should I reduce to 400 or...

Recommendations for premium look roofing for shed/workshop build

@moconnell - https://www.sigroofing.co.uk/roofingproducts/ I used similar (the same? cladco are a manufacturer) material from cladco https://www.cladco.co.uk/ on the rear aspects of both my gardenroom and garage because it's an inexpensive option. It's a bit of a pig to cut. I think you'd...

    Garage Roof

...The "Goal posts" will go across the width of the garage so that the roof will slope from front to back. I will be using thin steel profiled sheeting similar to that used on warehouses (See Cladco website) in 10 ft lengths so I will be having a goal post across the garage at approx 5ft centres

    Fibre cement cladding... indoors?

I've used Cladco (other brands are available) fibre cement lap board cladding externally, but having played around with some offcuts on an internal wall, it strikes me that if you stick it flat to the wall with no overlap, it makes a viable alternative to ceramic tiles. I mean, it's...

How do I fit window in single leaf block wall?

...correct this with 100mm treated timber on just 2 sides. I'm not sure how the sills go in and how do I waterproof the window? The exterior is cladco roofing sheet metal with L-shaped 90-degree corner trims. The interior of the building will be studwork timber, rigid insulation and plasterboard.

SIPs Garden Studio (aka 'Shed') Build Sequence

Yes it is more expensive, it’s about £120 a roll, I decided to use it as it wasn’t a great expense in the overall scheme but in my eyes is a critical weatherproofing element. The weird thing about tyvek housewrap is that’s it’s very thin and crisp a bit like wrapping paper, but it’s also very...

Advice - Rust on new metal roofing sheets

Timber sizes and spacing for a monopitch roof on timber outbuilding

...smaller sizes or is this irrelevant. I intended to use 400mm spacing. I had planned on using 145x 47mm but recognise that this is not going to be good big enough, the roof covering will be cladco box profile. As always any advice greatly appreciated and I hope my wording makes sense. Thanks

    Bbq roof?

...with a vent going through said roof structure. However I’m of course concerned about deforming the roof with heat. I was considering 1000/34 cladco type arrangement with clear pvc version used on the eating area (between two opaque sheets) which all works. but wondered if you roofer types...

Advice - Rust on new metal roofing sheets

Hello, I fitted some metal sheets to a garage roof in August 2023 (5 months ago). Sheets are Tileform sheets from cladco. It says they are made from galvanised Swedish Steel with a hard-wearing Prelaq Mica coating. roof sheet is - 41/1000 Tile Form 0.6 Thick Mica Coated Roof Sheet. on a later...

    Metal roof sheet queries?

Last summer I replaced a box section metal garage roof with Cladco products.....unfortunately the pitch of the box wasn’t the same as the original so I had to put new roofing timbers in. The material was .9mm thick if I recall and polyester coated. Anyway, they supplied eaves fillers made from...

Which fibreboard for my chalet bungalow

...product you guys would recommend. I have spoken to a few carpenters and Marley Weatherboards seems to be the preferred option whilst J Hardie comes down the list with Cedral and Cladco in between. Hardie boards seems the cheapest but even a Trustpilot gave them two negs and no positives .Thanks
